Kalispell Area Activities
Nathan D. Zasler, MD., is an internationally respected expert in brain injury care and rehabilitation. He has lectured and written extensively on neurorehabilitation issues and founded the Tree of Life Center. He is the Medical Director of the Concussion Care Center in VA and is also active in numerous nation and international organizations including the International Brain Injury Association. His main areas of clinical research include neuromedical issues in acquired brain injury (particularly mild TBI and neurologic states), and chronic pain rehabilitation.
Marlene Davis of the Governor’s Committee on Disability Issues and Employment, Olympia, WA is widely acclaimed in Oregon and Washington. She was born and raised on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation in Hays, Montana and has made significant strides in bringing together tribal and non tribal communities to help those with disabilities.
Lynne Beauclair, M.A. CCC-SLP is a Speech Pathologist who ran her own 13 year private practice in Florida serving adult neurogenic cognitive and language disorders , dysphasia, and voice. She is currently practicing at Kalispell Regional Medical Hospital.
Bill Goodrich, CRC, CCM, CLCP, D-ABVE, NCC, F-AAPM
has over 34 years of professional rehabilitation practice is the co owner of national organizations, Life Care Services and National Life Care Institute, based out of Montana. His areas of expertise include life care planning, expert rehabilitation consultation and testimony, disability compliance, catastrophic case management, loss of earning capacity assessments and primary care vocational rehabilitation.
Chare Largent, M.A. CCC-SLP received her M.A. in speech pathology in 1970 from Cal State Fullerton and since then has worked in numerous settings. She is presently a speech/language pathologist at Kalispell Regional Medical Center working primarily in out patient therapy. She has clinical experience in ognitive, stroke and TBI rehabilitation.
Lois McElravy motivates, inspires, and entertains national audiences with her sense of humor and “Lessons from Lois.” A brain injury survivor herself, and a BIAM board member, Lois teaches people how to safely and effectively use humor to adapt to change, manage stress in their daily lives, and overcome unexpected obstacles.
Jim Mickelson, leader of the Missoula area brain injury support group and of the Puzzle Club has presented on Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) all over the Missoula area. A brain injury survivor himself he strives to help provide encouragement, hope and recovery tools to people with brain injuries.
Kristen Morgan, MSW., is the Resource Facilitator for the BIAM. Her main areas of interest are acceptance of diversity, mutual aid and therapeutic groups, and the impact of trauma on individuals and families. She is the south west regional representative for the National Association of Social Workers of Montana.
Michele Pickell, J.O.B.S., is a sucessful career and business development specialist who helps people with brain injuries succeed in their career or small business. She uses “belief tools” to help others discover their own personal abilities.
Joyce Scott is a North American Riding for the Handicapped Association advanced instructor and cofounder of the Whitewater Therapeutic Riding and Recreational Riding Association of Salmon, ID. Joyce is also a speech therapist and the current Grant and Project Coordinator of the BIAM.
Roger Shelley is an Organizational Consultant with The Rural Institute at the University of Montana and owner/operator of Roberts Consulting Services, a training and consulting company. For the past eleven years Roger has provided training and technical assistance in career services and self employment.
Michael Sullivan is a brain injury survivor and leader of the BIAM support group in Great Falls. Over the 17 years of living with a brain injury he and his family have learned together how to survive and thrive.
There will be scheduled showing of the Puzzle Club through-out the conference. A pre-dinner social hour with entertainment will follow Friday's sessions. As always, we have plenty of time set aside during breaks to visit our exhibitors’ booths and to catch up with old friends and make new ones.

This program is offered for 1.0 CEUs. ASHA CE Provider approval does not imply endorsement of the course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.

Discounted rates will not be available after this date! The discounted rates are Single $60, Double $75, Triple $85, Quad $95, Suite $135.95. An additional $10 per person will be charged for extra people in a room.
