LEWISTON BRAIN INJURY SUPPORT GROUP

Group Mission:
The Lewistown Brain Injury Support Group’s main mission is to
recover as much of ourselves as possible by whatever means available.

About the group:

As a new Thrivers Support Group we spent our first two meetings asking ourselves four questions and coming up with a lot of good answers.

1. What do you want this group to do for you?
2. What can we do for others?
3. What do you want the meetings to be about?
4. What is our goal

From these questions we came up with our mission, our logo, and our meeting plan. After finding our direction we have had some really great meetings. One of our main focuses will be on Communication Skills; how not to offend people with our words, how to relate with others, how to listen, how to not feel lost and left out, how to help others, understand us and to understand them, how to gain confidence when speaking especially how to just enjoy being with others and being ourselves. We think this will keep us busy for awhile.
